Dominant tool suite used for open-standard SATCOM terminal development

London, UK, June 11, 2007 — Zeligsoft™, a leading vendor of software development tools to the embedded computing industry, will be profiling a strategic European SATCOM customer, EADS Astrium, at the annual International Software Radio Conference. EADS Astrium, a global space industry leader, has completed the design and sea trial of the Skynet 5 Paradigm Modem System (PMS), a SATCOM terminal project employing the Software Communications Architecture¹ (SCA) component-based standard.

The PMS is a highly anticipated terminal designed to carry MILSATCOM traffic for the three branches of the British Armed Forces. In order to produce an open-standard, flexible and adaptable radio, EADS chose to use the SCA. Zeligsoft, the premier SCA-based development solution provider, supplied tools, training and professional services to EADS Astrium, equipping them for project success.
