Zeligsoft Development Tools Adopted in Japan
Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha Ltd. ships Zeligsoft Component Enabler to NEC
Gatineau, PQ, Canada, October 26, 2005 — Zeligsoft™, a leading vendor of market-specific embedded software development tools today announced that its Tokyo based partner Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha Ltd, abbreviated KBK, has fulfilled a multi-seat order for Zeligsoft Component Enabler™ (CE) to NEC Corporation.
“Japan and other progressive Asian nations are developing Software Defined Radio (SDR) with the intention of producing interoperable waveforms and radio platforms compliant with the US DoD’s Software Communications Architecture (SCA) standard,” said Francis Bordeleau, President, Zeligsoft. “This large prospective market requires a development tool that will thoroughly validate against the SCA.”
“The Zeligsoft product will enhance NEC’s capability to work in cooperative projects with their alliance partners, and greatly help them succeed in their radio systems business,” said Eiichi Shinohara, Assistant General Manager, KBK. “Software Defined Radio is emerging as an important technology for many of the diversified electronics manufacturers here in Japan, and they see the commercial and technological benefits of the SCA standard. We anticipate more embedded-systems designers requiring the Zeligsoft development tool for SDR development.”
“We are thrilled to have KBK win such an important account,” said Kamal Krishnapillai, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Zeligsoft. “Japan is a world-leading export power, and so the choices made by the Japanese manufacturing community in Software Defined Radio development will influence the worldwide SDR marketplace. The adoption of the SCA standard and Zeligsoft Component Enabler by NEC will enable the development of interoperable components, waveforms and radio platforms on a proven component-based framework with a proven development tool.”
