RTOS

The Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) plays a significant role in the embedded software's ecosystem. The evaluation and selection of an RTOS represents a deep commitment on the part of your software architect, but it should never mean that the application architecture, components and code are locked in to a specific RTOS. The Zeligsoft domain utilized by your development team customizes the development environment to the RTOS and enables deployment-aware code generation that is optimally suited to your target RTOS, yet maintains the application's independence from the RTOS allowing you to easily port to new targets.

Zeligsoft CX supports a domain for Enea's OSEck (Operating System Embedded compact kernel) for embedded engineers working on software for telecommunications infrastructure. Code for software applications developed in CX with the OSE domain is generated optimally for the ENEA OSE target resulting in efficient and high-performing software.

With Zeligsoft, developers can also move freely from one RTOS to another, as desired or required for the advancement of their embedded platform.

With the increased uptake of Linux in embedded applications, Zeligsoft also supports a POSIX (Portable Operating System Interface) domain providing support for a wide variety of platforms, including all variants of Linux.
