SDR - Software Defined Radio: Reduce Risk with Zeligsoft

Portability

"The three primary goals of MDA are portability, interoperability and reusability through architectural separation of concerns." From MDA Guide Version 1.0.1.

Model portability is not only a key objective of the Model Driven Architecture (MDA), it is also a requirement for SCA-based application development.

Zeligsoft CE™’s model-driven approach simplifies model portability. CE decouples the high-level graphical definition of the components from the low-level descriptor details.

And, as with all standards and specifications, the SCA will evolve. By separating the application and platform modeling from the standards specifications, CE adapts to changes in the SCA without requiring a change in your design.

CE addresses important portability concerns:

  • Portability of application and platform models, over different versions of standards
  • Portability of applications over different hardware platforms, SCA Core Frameworks, and other OE elements
  • Portability of components over different applications

Additional details on how CE facilitates application and component portability can be found in the Application Note “Running a waveform on multiple SCA compliant Core Frameworks”.
